Autotransfusion/PRP

Autotransfusion can enhance the quality of hospital surgical blood management programs. It not only provides better tissue oxygenation, but it also reduces the risk of disease, decreased immune function and organ system dysfunction (TRALI, renal dysfunction, etc.) associated with blood from external sources.

SpecialtyCare's clinical staff, which performs autotransfusion for cardiac and non-cardiac surgical procedures, is uniquely trained to meet the specific needs of each customer’s blood conservation efforts.  Our Clinical Quality Indicator Program uses autotransfusion-specific patient outcome measures from sites across the country to identify and implement best practices for each hospital.

We also offer progressive blood conservation programs, including post-operative blood salvage (OrthoPAT®), bioadhesives (Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, for improved wound healing), and hemostatic agents.

We use autotransfusion outcome measures from sites across the country to identify and implement best practices for each hospital.
