Much has changed in healthcare and cardiac care since the first Mechanisms conference 30 years ago. The event has always represented the best in perfusion leadership and advanced learning. As the market has evolved, we’ve decided to spend some extra time evaluating and planning to ensure that the next Mechanisms is aligned with the changing needs of our industry and provides the greatest possible value for our attendees. As such, we will not be holding an event in 2017.

In the meantime, our perfusion and cardiac care experts continue to publish new research and regularly speak at industry events, such as meetings of the American Heart Association and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. To stay up to date, you can subscribe to and follow our blog where you’ll learn more about current topics, such as the NTM outbreak, oxygenator performance, the obesity paradox, and more.

We also continue to promote perfusion as a smart career choice by making scholarship funds available for use at any accredited perfusion school. And, we are excited about our involvement with Thomas Jefferson University’s new Center for Perfusion and Extracorporeal Technology Education, where we provide educational leadership and state-of-the-art technology for the simulation lab to maximize students’ opportunities in this rapidly evolving field.

Thank you for your support of Mechanisms. We are excited about our future direction, and will keep you updated as we determine how the event will evolve to best serve our industry and attendees.
